Our Approach

Plost Dental is proud to practice conservative dentistry. This means that while we always want to provide our patients with any dental services that they want or need, we never want to recommend services, especially extensive restorative treatments, that are simply not needed or required. This approach makes things easier on your schedule, your wallet, and your smile.

We offer a wide range of high-quality, comprehensive dental treatments that you can find on our services page. Should you be unable to find the exact treatment you’re looking for, please let us know. Plost Dental collaborates with many specialists, including orthodontists, oral surgeons, endodontists, and periodontists, and we will be more than happy to refer you to an exceptional dental professional.

Our Modern DENTAL TECHNOLOGY

Through the use of modern dental technology, combined with our gentle approach, we are able to provide our patients with efficient, top-notch dental care. Among our high-tech dental tools are:

Panoramic X-Rays: Panoramic X-rays have the ability to capture a look at a patients’ entire mouth in just one image. All a patient has to do during a panoramic X-ray is remain still while the machine rotates around in a semicircle, capturing a complete 2D image. This technology helps with treatments that require a good look at both the teeth and the jaw, like dental implants, dentures, and extractions.

CBCT for Implant Planning & Placement: Older radiographic technologies just don’t provide a full picture of a patients’ needs the way 3D CBCT models do. CBCT machines allow our team to see an accurate representation of the patients gums and teeth, so no important details are missed. The 3D images that are created are higher-quality and the machines themselves expose patients to significantly lower levels of radiation.

Intraoral Cameras: Intraoral cameras are used to capture high definition imagery that feeds back to a monitor, allowing both the dentist and patient to see the patients’ teeth and gums in real time. These cameras also capture images that can be saved in a patients’ file allowing our team and insurance providers to see the exact condition of a tooth or teeth at a certain point in time.

We also utilize Eaglesoft software that allows patients to request appointment times online. While you are always welcome to call our office to schedule an appointment, we know that having a convenient online option can make fitting a dentist appointment into a busy schedule easier. This software also makes things faster and more streamlined for our team, which in turn, makes things faster and more streamlined for you!
